I just landed in Singapore. My friend assured me the airport was "wired" and there were internet kiosks everywhere, and after searching for a half hour I finally found one in a laundromat in the basement.

Anyway I was too busy preparing to leave to prepare to arrive so I didn't even know the name of the hotel I'm staying at tonight. That's why I'm online now.

I found it and have a nice map.

Wish me luck at the tournament tomorrow. I'm playing with Team Kidlat (that means "LIGHTNING") from the Philippines. I might not play that much since I took a spill on Wednesday and banged up my knee nicely (cheap flip flops with no tread+smooth, wet concret=ice rink), but I think it will be ok.

In other news, I'm walking around sporting a philippine-style cowboy hat my counterpart gave me as a giving away present. "The other volunteers will be jealous."
