another day at the cafe

There is a fat kid next to me, maybe 10 years old, who is watching advertisements at full volume on youtube. It's pretty weird. He started out with food ads, for ketchup and flavoring cubes that are common on tv, and now is watching ones for shampoo and powdered milk. He also has an affinity for pounding the table at regular intervals. I don't really know what to think.

Earlier today I was going to the grocery store and was stopped by the guard by the entry who insisted that I check my empty cloth shoulder bag at the baggage check before going in. I kind of made a scene ("seriouso ka??") and she graciously let me keep it in my pocket. They were even selling "save the earth" cloth bags near the registers.
